Adele Deep-V Cropped Cardigan

Adele is a black deep-V cropped cardigan, cut short to the natural waist and fastened by two oversized gold-tone buttons.

The knit is soft and mid gauge with a faint rib through the body, set against wide ribbing at the neckband, the front placket, the cuffs and a deep hem band. The V is long and open, framed by a broad ribbed band that runs unbroken into the placket. Shoulders drop and the sleeves blouson through the forearm before gathering into deep ribbed cuffs, while the hem band pulls the cropped body in at the waist. It sits above high-rise jeans with the midriff showing.

Do the buttons fasten?
Yes. Both close, drawing the fronts together at the chest and at the waist. There are only those two points, so the cardigan separates below the lower button and stays open there.

How short is it?
Cropped to the natural waist. The deep ribbed hem band sits at or just above a high-rise waistband, so a strip of midriff shows between the two.

Are the sleeves fitted?
No. The shoulder drops and the sleeve is full and slightly blouson through the forearm, then gathers into a deep ribbed cuff at the wrist.

How big are the buttons?
Large and sculptural. They are hammered with a molten surface in a warm gold tone, sized to read as jewelry rather than hardware.
