Huguette Oversized Peak Lapel Blazer

The Huguette oversized peak lapel blazer is single-breasted with two buttons, cut long and roomy, in a smooth high-shine black that throws hard highlights wherever the light hits it.

It is genuinely oversized. The shoulder seam sits well outside your own shoulder, the sleeves run wide to the base of the hand, and the body is straight with no waist suppression. The hem falls to the upper or mid thigh, a hand's width or more below the hip line, and the two front edges curve away below the lower button. Wide peak lapels run from the roll line most of the way to the armhole, topstitched along the collar, lapel and front edges. Wear it open over jeans and a tank, or buttoned over tailored trousers.

How long is it?
Upper to mid thigh. The hem clears the hip line by a hand's width or more, and the front edges curve away below the lowest button, so the back reads longer than the front corners.

How oversized is it, and should I size down?
Fully oversized. The shoulder drops well past the natural shoulder and the sleeve is roomy to the wrist. Size down if you want it closer to the body, and keep your usual size if you plan to layer under it.

What is the shiny surface?
