Irma Shearling-Effect Trim Jacket

The Irma shearling-effect trim jacket wears its cream pile where you can actually see it: across the collar, over both lapels, and then straight down both front edges, unbroken, all the way to the hem. The shell is a warm brown with a matte napped surface.

It is a short, boxy jacket that ends at the high hip, just below a jeans waistband. The shoulder is dropped and the sleeve is roomy through the upper arm, so it goes over a tee or a fine knit without pulling. Two buttons hold it closed, set far apart: one at the chest, one down near the hem, with nothing in between. Curved yoke seams and tonal topstitching run front and back. Worn open it shows the full run of cream down each front edge; buttoned, the opening closes to a high, shallow V.

No. The cuffs are plain brown with a seamed turn-back band. The cream at the wrist is the pile lining showing at the sleeve opening.

How does it fasten?
Two buttons, single-breasted. No zip. The two buttons sit far apart, one at the chest and one near the hem, so left undone the front falls open in one long line.

Are the pockets real?
Yes. Both hip pockets are open welt pockets set into the front seam.

How short is it, and how should I size it?
It ends at the high hip, just below the waistband of jeans, and the cut is boxy with a dropped shoulder. Your usual size gives the relaxed shape shown. Measure a jacket you already own against the size chart if you are between sizes.
