Laetitia Pleated-Hem Knit Mini Dress

The Laetitia is a black and white pleated-hem mini dress: a close-fitting black knitted body finished with one crisp white knife-pleated band at the hem. Six gold-tone buttons run down the center front. It pulls on over the head.

The body is finely knitted, flat and matte, with narrow ribbed bands at the neck, the cuffs and the black hem edge. It has real stretch and follows the bust, waist and hip closely, so the line stays smooth from the crew neck to the hem seam. Below that seam, a separate white panel is folded into narrow pressed pleats that stand away from the body and finish in a small scalloped edge. It is a true mini, and the pleats flip outward as you move, so it sits shorter in wear than it looks standing still. Wear it with opaque tights and boots, or bare legs and a heel. It does not. The dress pulls on over the head. There is no zip, and the six gold-tone buttons do not open, so the front never comes apart. The back is plain and unbroken from the neckband down.

How short is it?
Short. This is a mini, sitting well above the knee, with the white pleated band making up the last hand's width. The pleats swing outward rather than hanging straight, so the coverage in wear is shorter still.

Is it lined or see-through?
There is no lining, and none is needed. Both the black body and the white pleated band are fully opaque. The surface is close and smooth, so a seamless bra keeps the line cleanest.

How should I choose my size?
It stretches and the cut is close, so it reads as fitted rather than relaxed. Measure your hip and compare it to the size guide above, and size up if you are between sizes or prefer less cling.
