Maud Contrast-Piped Knit Cardigan & Wide-Leg Trouser Set

The Maud is a two-piece set: a button-through knit cardigan and matching wide-leg trousers, both in black with cream contrast piping traced along every seam. Both pieces are included, and the piping is knitted into the fabric rather than stitched on top.

The cardigan has an open pointed collar rather than a lapel, and fastens down the front with four gold buttons. Cream piping outlines the collar, the front placket, the curved seams across the chest and back, the cuffs and the hem band. Sleeves are long and finish with a contrast band just above the wrist. The body is cropped to the natural waist, so it sits neatly over the trouser waistband. The trousers are high rise and wide leg, with a cream line running the full length of each outer seam and down the center front, and two flap pockets at the hip, each trimmed in cream and closed with a gold button to match.

How many pieces come with this set?
Two. The knit cardigan and the wide-leg trousers are sold and shipped together as one set. The woven bag and heels shown are styling and are not included.

Is the top a tailored blazer?
No. It is a soft knit cardigan with an open pointed collar, not a structured blazer with lapels. There is no shoulder padding and no lining, so it drapes rather than holding a sharp line.

How do the trousers fasten?
No closure is visible. There is no zip, button, fly or drawstring, and the knit has enough give to pull on.

Is the cream piping printed on?
No. It is knitted into the fabric as a contrast yarn, so it will not crack, peel or wash off the way a printed line would.
