The Zoe two-piece set pairs a tailored sleeveless waistcoat with matching wide-leg trousers, both cut from the same charcoal suiting. The waistcoat finishes in a classic pointed hem at center front, the trousers fall from deep double pleats, and the back of the trouser waistband is elasticized, so they pull on and sit easily at the natural waist.

The waistcoat is genuinely fitted. A center-back seam plus shaped side and princess seams draw it in through the middle, and the armholes are cut deep and cleanly bound under a narrow, slightly squared shoulder. Its V neckline is collarless and cut low, and it is styled with nothing worn underneath, so most shoppers will want to add a layer of their own. The trousers sit at the natural waist and fall in a full, straight column to a plain unturned hem. Both pieces have pockets.

Do the trousers have a zip or a button?
No. There is no fly, zip, button, hook or belt loops. The back of the waistband is a wide elasticized band, so the trousers pull on and there is some give at the waist.

Do I need to wear something under the waistcoat?
The V is collarless and cut deep, and it is styled open onto bare skin. Nothing is included to wear underneath, so if you would like more coverage, plan on a camisole, bandeau or fitted tee of your own.

What color is it, exactly?
Charcoal. It is a very dark neutral with a faint cool cast that reads close to black in some light, not a mid-tone. The cloth is solid, with no stripe, check or texture.
