Gaelle Striped Knit Top & Maxi Skirt Set

The Gaelle is a two-piece set: a sleeveless knit top and a matching knit maxi skirt, both worked in narrow vertical stripes of black on a cream ground. The stripes are knitted into the rib rather than printed, so they follow the fabric's channels and shift a little as the knit stretches. Cream is the dominant color, with the black lines set at pencil width and spaced slightly unevenly, so some fall closer together in pairs.

The top is a fitted sleeveless shell with a high round neckline and armholes finished in a narrow band of solid black. It follows the body through the bust and waist, then flares just below the waist into a short peplum whose hem ripples into a wavy lettuce edge that sits over the top of the skirt. The back is plain and closed, with no keyhole, buttons or zip. The skirt is a long column, cut narrow and straight through the hip and thigh with a very slight flare and a soft ripple at the hem, finished with the same lettuce edge, and falls to just above the ankle. There are no pockets, no belt loops and no logo anywhere on the set.

How many pieces come in this set?
Two: a sleeveless knit top and a matching knit maxi skirt. There are no trousers, shorts, cardigan or sweater included. The woven bag, bangles, earrings and sandals shown are styling props and are not part of the set.

Do the stripes run horizontally?
No. They run vertically down both the top and the skirt. The black lines are narrow and knitted in, set on wider cream bands.

Does the skirt have a zip or an elastic waistband?
The waistband sits under the top's peplum, and no zip, button or drawstring is visible anywhere on either piece. Message us before ordering if the closure matters to you and we will confirm it.

How long is the skirt?
It is a maxi length, falling to just above the ankle on the model.
