Odette Twist Front Cropped Knit Top

The Odette twist front cropped knit top is built to be layered, and it does not work any other way. The knit is semi-sheer, and the crossover front falls open into a deep V, so the cami you see underneath in every photograph is part of the outfit rather than a styling choice.

Two front panels cross at the center front just below the bust and pass through each other into a knotted twist, and the fabric falls away to each side from there. The knit is fine, flat and light with a faint gray heather fleck from a melange yarn, so it gathers, drapes and creases rather than holding a shape. Shoulders drop, the sleeves blouson through the upper arm and run long enough to cover the hands or scrunch on the forearm. The crop is genuine: the hem sits just under the bust at the center front and at the base of the ribcage at the sides, leaving roughly ten to fifteen centimeters of bare midriff. Wear it over a cami or bandeau with a high-rise skirt or trouser.
