Sylvette Denim-Collar Ribbed Sweater

The Sylvette denim-collar ribbed sweater pulls on over the head. There is no opening at the front, the back or the sides, and the four gold buttons on the front are decorative.

The body and sleeves are a fine vertical rib in cream, cut close through the bust and waist with slim sleeves running plain to the wrist. Down the center front, a strip of mid-blue washed denim is topstitched to the knit along both long edges, with the rib continuing underneath and out either side. The pointed shirt collar is the same woven denim, with its own collar band, set onto a round knit neckline. Both carry orange-gold topstitching and light wash fading. It is waist length, so the straight hem finishes at the natural waist and sits above a high waistband. Wear it with a belt and wide trousers, as shown.

Yes. The collar and the front strip are a woven denim twill, with the diagonal weave, the wash fading and the contrast topstitching all visible up close. Only that trim is woven. The body is knit.

How long is it?
Waist length. The straight hem finishes at the natural waist, which is why it works over a high-waisted trouser or a belted skirt rather than covering one.

Is it see-through?
