The Brigitte is a cropped button-front jacket in a soft matte brown, cut from a cloth with a fine napped face and dark buttons set against it for contrast.

The nap is what you notice first. It reads matte and even from straight on, and picks up a light tonal sheen where it turns toward the light, so the brown shifts a shade as you move. The cut is straight and a little boxy, with a dropped shoulder, a classic collar and a plain band across the back hem. Four dark four-hole buttons run down the front.
