Flavie Waistcoat & Split-Hem Trouser Set

The Flavie Waistcoat & Split-Hem Trouser Set is a two-piece set: a tailored sleeveless waistcoat and matching wide-leg trousers, cut in the same stone woven polyester. The trousers are the talking point, with a long vertical split running up the front of each leg from the hem, so the fabric moves open as you walk.

The waistcoat is collarless, with no lapels. It opens in a plain deep V, with wide shoulder straps and deep scooped armholes, and princess seams shape it through the waist. The hem steps down in a curve at the high hip and sits slightly longer at the back. Two large gold buttons with a crumpled foil texture fasten down the center front onto flat horizontal thread bar loops rather than conventional buttonholes. The trousers are high rise and wide leg, straight through the thigh with no taper, floor skimming to slightly over long, with a center crease pressed into the front and back of each leg.

Where is the split, on the top or the trousers?
On the trousers. Each leg has a long vertical split up the front of the hem, reaching to around mid calf. The waistcoat has no split.

How do the trousers fasten?
There is no visible closure. The front is completely clean with no fly, zip, button or elastic showing, and the narrow self-fabric waistband carries no belt loops. The slight stretch in the fabric is what gives the waistband its give.

What does the color look like?
Stone. It reads as a warm off-white with a faint sandy, oatmeal cast rather than a cool tone, on a smooth matte twill weave.
