Milene Mock-Neck Pleated Mini Dress

The Milene is a mock neck pleated mini dress in White, cut close through the body and finished with a band of pressed knife pleats across the bottom third. It fastens with a concealed zip at the center back.

The collar is a true stand collar that sits unfolded at the base of the throat, with no fold-over and no round neckline. Shaping comes from the cut alone: a center-front seam and curved panel seams run from the armhole through the bust and waist to the hip, so the waist nips in without a belt, tie or elastic. The sleeves are set in and fitted to the elbow, then flare into wide bell cuffs that fall past the wrist and over the hand. Length is a genuine mini, sitting high on the thigh and well above the knee, and the pleats flare out rather than hanging straight. Wear it with opaque tights and tall boots, or bare legs and a heel. Questions

Is the White see-through?
No. The fabric is opaque in both colors, White included, over the bust and through the pleated band. Because the face is smooth and the fit is close, a textured or heavily seamed bra can telegraph, and a dark bra will read as a shadow under the White. A smooth bra in a tone close to your skin is the safe choice.

How does it go on?
Through the concealed zip at the center back, which runs from the top of the collar down. It is not a pull-on dress, and there are no buttons or lacing. The back is otherwise plain and closed, so any normal bra works: the mock neck, long sleeves and high back cover the straps and band.

How short is it, and are there pockets or a slit?
It is a short mini. The hem sits high on the thigh, roughly a hand's width above the knee, and the pleats flare outward so coverage is shorter still when you move. There are no pockets and no slit anywhere in the skirt.

Is the Red the same dress?
