Monique Twist Front Ribbed Knit Top

The Monique twist front ribbed knit top is a fine-rib gray knit built around one sewn twist at the center bust. Two fabric ends cross over one another once and are stitched down, so the detail holds its shape every time you wear it.

Narrow vertical ribs run through the body and the sleeves in a soft matte heather gray, light-to-mid marled and cool in tone. A horizontal seam sits under the bust below the twist, with soft gathers radiating out to each side seam. The long set-in sleeves are cut extra long over the base of the hand and open into a slight flare at the wrist. The hem is plain and gently curved, longer at the back, and falls just past the hip bone when it is worn untucked. This is a thin, body-hugging knit rather than a chunky sweater. It is not sheer and no skin shows through, but the fabric is fine and very close-fitting, so body contour and underwear lines will read through it. Wear it with high-waisted jeans, or tucked into a tailored skirt.

Is the front knot tied, and can I untie it?
It is not tied. It is a twist, and it is sewn in place. Two fabric ends cross over one another once at the center bust and are stitched down. There are no free ends, nothing is tied and nothing can be untied or adjusted.

Is it see-through?
No. It is not sheer and no skin is visible in any of the photographs. It is a fine, very close-fitting knit, though, so body contour and underwear lines will read through. A seamless bra is the easy fix.

How long are the sleeves?
Long and fitted, and cut deliberately extra long. They cover the base of the hand and flare slightly at the wrist. The cuff is a plain narrow band with no rib, no elastic and no button.

How does it fasten?
It does not. This is a pull-on top with a round crew neckline and no zip, buttons or opening at the front or back.
