Arielle Large-Collar Button Cardigan

The Arielle large-collar button cardigan is a chunky cotton knit in a pale butter yellow, soft and light rather than golden. Its oversized spread collar is the point of it.

The collar is wide and deep-pointed, big enough to lie flat and broad across the shoulders or to be popped and buttoned at the throat. Six pale gray-cream buttons run the full center front, from the collar break down to the hem, and they fasten the whole length. The surface is brushed and looped, a nubby yarn with a long hairy halo standing off it and ribbed columns knitted in underneath that read through the fluff. The shape is relaxed and slightly boxy through the shoulder, with light waist shaping and a small flare over the hip. It is hip length and lands on the hip bone, so it reads short. Sleeves are dropped at the shoulder, gently full through the arm, and gather into ribbed cuffs that reach past the wrist.
