Christelle Sheer Yoke Knit Polo Top

The Christelle sheer yoke knit polo top sets an open, glitter-flecked knit across the chest, shoulders and upper back above a fine ribbed body. The yoke is genuinely see-through, so it is worth knowing exactly where the sheer falls before you buy.

It is cut fitted through the bust and waist, with a flat pointed polo collar, a short button placket at the center front and long set-in sleeves. Narrow vertical stripes are knitted into the yoke only and stop in a jagged, dripping edge where the sheer meets the solid knit. The sheer areas are the front upper chest, from the collar edge down to just above the bust, both shoulders and the outer upper arm down to about mid-bicep, and the entire upper back, from the collar past the shoulder blades to roughly bra-band level. That back panel is the largest sheer area on the top. The bust, midriff, waist and lower sleeves are fully opaque. The hem sits at the waist, landing at the top of high-waisted trousers, and it works with tailored pants, a slim skirt or dark denim.

FAQ

Is this top see-through?
Yes, in three places. The front upper chest from the collar to just above the bust, both shoulders and the outer arm down to about mid-bicep, and the whole upper back from the collar to roughly bra-band level. Everything from the bust down, including the midriff, waist and lower sleeves, is opaque.

What bra should I wear with it?
A strapless or adhesive bra, which is how it is styled in the photographs. The upper back and both shoulders are sheer, so the straps and back band of a conventional bra will show through.

Do I need a camisole underneath?
No. The bust and midriff are fully opaque, so nothing extra is needed for coverage there.

How do I wash it?
Hand wash cold with like colors, do not bleach, dry flat, and iron at 110C maximum. Do not dry clean.
