Elsa Shawl Collar Shaggy Jacket

The Elsa shawl collar shaggy jacket is covered in long fur-effect pile from the collar to the cuffs, in a true Black. This is not a trim: the pile is the whole jacket.

The pile is built in horizontal rows, so the surface reads as soft tonal bands, clearest across the back. A wide self-fabric shawl collar rolls in one piece down both front edges and stands at the back neck. There is no fastening of any kind, so it is worn open. The shoulder is dropped, the sleeve is full through the upper arm, and the hem falls at the hip rather than above the waist. It goes over a high-neck top with straight trousers or a slim skirt.

How long is the pile, and where does the hem sit?
The pile is long, roughly an inch and a half, and lies in soft horizontal rows. The hem sits at the hip, over the top of the thigh. A few loose strands can work free from a surface this long when it is new. Shake it out rather than brushing it.
